Director of Digital Engagement announced
Andrew Stott in his new role as Director of Digital Engagment (13th May 09) “work across government departments to encourage, support and challenge them in moving from communicating to citizens on the web to conversing and collaborating with them through digital technology” – including blogs and such social networking sites as Twitter and Facebook.
We are still waiting for an announcement on who the new Digital Champion is to be, but in the meantime will have to content ourselves with following @DirDigEng on Twitter - within an hour of his appoinment being made public Andrew Stott had over 270 followers (and he was only following Tom Watson) and he he hasn’t made a single Tweet.
DC10 plus network wishes him well in the new role and looks forward to the subsequent awareness in the importance of digital engagement and digital inclusion across Govt.

@DirDigEng I’m delighted to be asked to take up the Director of Digital Engagement role. Looking forward to building on my #poit work.
was his first post … I was confused by the acronym poit … apparently it means Point of Information Taskforce … just not sure what that means!
